"The Best Damn Thing" is the fourth and last single off Canadian singer/songwriter Avril Lavigne's third studio album The Best Damn Thing. It has been confirmed by Sony BMG Music Entertainment Germany that it would be released on June 13 in Germany, but the official release dates for all other countries still remain unknown. It has been released to Australian radio during the year of 2008, and has been added to radio countdown The Hot Hits.
Chart performance
So far in Canada, 2 stations have added the track and it is in the Top 90 in airplay. Though it had no physical release to date, it charted at number 7 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles Chart and at number 76 on the Canadian Hot 100 Chart, though it has since descended on the chart considerably. The music video also peaked at 5 on the Australian iTunes Chart. The song has had no promotional appearences due to Avril being on tour thus causing it's low charting.
