"One Last Breath" is a 2002 single by the band Creed. It reached number 6 on the Billboard singles chart. The song centers around a man who, with his last breath, is trying to hold on to life and to the things he holds dear.
The song is also part of a Chris Berman "Bermanism" nickname on ESPN when, back in October 2005, Berman referred to Chicago White Sox third baseman Joe Crede as Joe "Six Feet From The Edge" Crede, as a reference to the main chorus line of the song and the closeness of Crede's last name to the name of the band[citation needed].
"One Last Breath" also has become a widespread song for many beginning and intermediate guitarists. Its simple, open string introduction with low fret numbers, combined with hammer-ons and pull-offs and double notes present a good teaching tool for students[citation needed].
