Nothing asian in me ^^; I get surprised everytime someone tells me this I wonder which part of me would look asian
난 아시아 혼혈이 아님 ^^; 그런말 들을 때마다 놀라곤 해. 대체 어디가 아시아 사람 같다는 건지

 
Yeah muhan dojeon...you know last year in december they called me to teach the guys english, but i couldn't do it because of my visa(i'm tied with kbs)...At that time i didn't know how big muhan dojeon was T_T
무한도전 말인데... 작년 12월에 그쪽에서 출연자들 영어 선생님 해달라고 연락이 왔었어. 근데 내 비자때문에 (난 KBS소속이라) 못했지... 그땐 무한도전이 그리 큰 건지 몰랐어 T_T

Abigail will be back next week, she needed to apply for her visa papers, which took a little while, that's why she wasn't on the show for 3 weeks
아비가일은 다음주에 돌아올거고, 비자 서류 제출해야되는데 시간이 좀 걸릴거 같아.. 그래서 3주간은 출연을 못할 거 같고.

Junko, she didn't really like the show in the first place so she kinda got out of it of her own will. Last time I heard of her she was doing fine
준코는, 무엇보다 프로그램을 별로 안좋아해서, 스스로 관둔 거 같아. 전에 연락했을때 잘 지낸다고 들었어.

한가지 확실한 건, 프로그램이 원래 목적과는 점점 멀어지고 있다는거.

Well first Jamelia, she's all over the net, for weird reasons...When Winter is fighting to her white girls' images fixed Jamelia acts like this erotical dancer or whatever...Winter has almost been raped, hit, strangled than got refused in an hospital cause they said she was a prostitute...And people still care more about Jamelia...The world is a scary place.
먼저 자멜라가 인터넷 스타가 됬는데.. 그 이유가 아주 이상해. 윈터가 백인 여자에 대한 고정관념에 대해 말을 꺼냈는데 자멜라는 에로틱 댄서처럼 굴질 않나.. 윈터가 거의 성폭행당하고 병원에서 창녀라고 거절당한 이야기를 하는데도 사람들은 자멜라에만 관심이 쏠린거지.. 세상은 무서운 곳이야. 

By the way Jamelia doesn't speak like that in real life.
그건 그렇고 자멜라는 실제로 그런 말투 아니야. 

1) This show is considered by most of you to just be an 아르바이트, right? How's the pay, and are you guys bound by a contract?
질문1) 이 프로그램이 출연자들한테는 그냥 알바인건가? 출연료나 계약은 어때?

There's a pay sure, the contract is strictly legal, so we can work on tv. And it stops us from going out in other stations, which is logical if you're a PD ^^;;
물론 출연료가 있지. 계약은 법적으로 엄격하고, 그래서 우리가 출연하는거고. 다른 방송국 출연은 계약상 금지인데, 내가 PD라도 그랬을걸 ^^;; 

2) I read a Korean article from naver where the PD(?) said that he felt the show was getting further away from its original intentions when he saw how many of its panelists were trying to become a celebrity, and that even those who weren't actively pursuing it were flaunting a sort of quasi-celebrity demeanor (Abigail came to mind for some reason). Frankly, I don't care. I enjoy watching the 미녀들 in different shows, but what are your thoughts on it?
질문2) 네이버에서 어떤 PD란 사람이 쓴 글을 봤는데, 프로그램이 애초 의도랑은 멀어지고 있는 거 같다, 패널들이 유명인사가 되려고 애쓴다거나 잘난척하면서 유명인인 척 한다던데 (여러 면에서 아비가일이 떠오름) 솔직히 나한텐 관계없긴 하지만. 난 다른 프로그램에서 미녀들 구경하는게 재밌거든. 당신 생각은 어때? 

I could go on for hours about that lol. For me I think we are getting further our original intentions for many reasons. Of course many girls want to become famous and make lots of cash. I will honestly say thay I've dream of acting and singing since i'm young and if the occasion every comes up I'll try to grab it. Its because i'm passionate rather than because I want cash (I've turned down stuff that would have give me money and chose my integrity...which brings me 0$ loool)
거기에 대해선 몇시간쯤 걸릴거 같은데 lol. 내 생각에도 여러가지 면에서 애초의 의도랑은 멀어지는 것 같아. 물론 몇몇 애들이 유명해지고 싶어하고 돈도 벌고 싶어 해. 솔직히 말하자면 난 어릴때부터 연기와 노래하는 걸 꿈꿔 왔고 기회가 되면 꼭 하고 말고야. 그건 내가 돈보다는 열정이 있기 때문인 거지. (난 이미 돈 벌 기회를 포기하고 떳떳해지기로 했어. 결국 돈은 못벌겠지만 ㅠㅠ)

And well many because pseudo-stars. Eva is doing well. And at first I felt we were showing how foreigners are working hard to blend in to Korea, we were actually trying to talk to korean on the same level as them...lately I felt many people watch our show for some stupidities...Its because its getting old, its always like that!
가짜 연예인들 때문인데, 에바는 잘 하고 있어. 첨에 내가 생각했던 건 외국인들이 한국에 어떻게 열심히 적응하고 있는가를 보여주는 거였는데, 실제로 한국인하고 똑같은 수준으로 이야기를 하려고 했었고. 요즘엔 프로그램이 좀 바보같다고나 할까.. 오래됐으니까.. 원래 그런거 아니겠어. 

3) Is there actually a sense of camaraderie among the members, and who do you like and who kinda annoys you? (dang, i sound like a gossipy chick, but I'm very curious).
질문3) 출연자들 사이에 동지애나 그런게 있나? 누가 제일 좋고 누가 제일 짜증나? (이건 좀 가쉽성에 가깝지만.. 궁금해서) 

There is camaraderie, especially between the older members! But I'm very close to most of them lately. Annoys me...well, I'm not sure I sure write personnal stuff on there. ehhehe
동지애가 있는데, 특히 오랜 출연자들끼리는. 근데 난 요즘엔 거의 다 친하게 지내. 그리고, 내가 개인적인 일을 말하긴 좀 그래서. 

4) I remember when you first came out on the show for choosuk; you were already REALLY good. And just a month or two later, 남 MC kept on mentioning that you've only been studying Korean for 6 months or some other ludicrously short time. As a Korean, I always felt that learning Korean was very difficult for foreigners. I'm actually planning on going to Japan for 6-9 months to learn Japanese and 3 months in Korea to brush up on my Korean. I don't want to sap away too much of your time, but is there anything you did in particular that contributed to your high level? I'm most impressed that you barely have an accent if at all. I mean... look at Brownyn, she's been studying for 7 months now, and she's nowhere near the level you were at when you studied for 7 months.
작년 추석 특집에 첫 출연했을때부터 당신 한국어 정말 잘했었던걸로 기억하는데. 한두달쯤 지나서 남MC가 당신은 6개월인가.. 여튼 한국어 공부한지 얼마 안됬다고 계속 그러던데. 한국인 입장에서 보자면 한국어가 외국인한테 많이 어렵다고 생각하는데. 난 일본에 6~9개월정도 가서 일어 공부하고 다시 한국에 와서 3개월정도 다시 한국어 공부할 계획이거든. 당신이 한국어 공부한 시간이 짧았던 건 아니지만, 고급 단계로 올라갈수 있었던 특별한 비결이라도? 난 당신이 전혀 외국인 억양을 쓰지 않는데 놀랐거든. 그러니까.. 브로닌은 지금 7개월째인데. 전에 당신이 7개월 공부한 상태에서 말하던 것과는 비교가 안되잖아. 

I've been listening to Korean music since 1999, so I've been used to Korean words for a long time. Learned hangeul to go to one Korean noraebang in Montreal. Then I watched dramas...Then came to Korea. I honestly have no special trick, I just hang out with Koreans ! ehehhe
난 1999년부터 한국 가요를 들어왔고, 꽤 오랫동안 한국어를 썼지. 몬트리올에 한국인 노래방에 가서 한글 공부하고. 드라마도 보고.. 그리고 한국에 온거야. 솔직히 비결 같은건 없고, 한국인 친구들하고 놀러다니는거 !!! 

Anyway, I hope you can read Winter's story, its very disturbing and then you'll understand why it is sickening me to see Jamelia #1 on naver and stuff like that...
어쨌든 윈터의 이야기를 읽어줬으면 해. 꽤 곤란한 일이긴 하지만 왜 자멜라가 네이버 검색1위한게 나한테 화가나는지 알게 될거야.
