환승역인 사우디 아라비아, 리야드 공항에 도착했다.

I came to transit airport, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

공항에 도착하니 온통 흰색, 검은색 옷을 입은 사람들뿐이다.

사우디 아라비아는 이슬람교의 90%를 차지하는 수니파의 본거지인데 여자들은 무조건 검은색, 남자들은 흰색 베일을 입는 듯했다.

근데 위와 같은 아저씨를 보면 사우디 국왕 또는 석유재벌이 생각난다.ㅋㅋ

the airport was full of the people wearing black and white veil.

Saudi Arabia is the homeland for Sunni Muslim. men wear white veil and women wear black one.

when I see guys like above, I think about the king of Saudi or rich oil guy.

참 못났다.-_-

공항 대기시간이 거의 10시간이었다. 지겨워서 죽는 줄 알았다. 근데 더 큰 문제는 10시간 동안 아무것도 못 먹었다는 것.ㅠ

이 ㅂㅇㄱㅇ 공항에서는 카드를 받지 않았다. 현찰 박치기만 가능했다.

한 끼 먹기 위해서 ATM에서 돈을 뽑자니 아까워서 환전을 하려고 했는데 이 ㅂㅇㅁㅇ 환전소에서는 100 USD 지폐만 받는단다.

수중에는 20 USD 한 장만 있었다. 그래서 먹기를 포기하고 굶었다. 너무 배고팠다.ㅠ

How ugly I am.-_-

I had to wait about 10 hours for the flight to Egypt. super bored. the problem is that I couldn't eat anything for 10 hours.

they don't accept the card in the airport. only cash was available. If I had withdrawn money from ATM only for one meal,

I would waste money because of high commission. I tried to exchange money. but the funing exchange only accept 100 USD note.

I didn't have it but only 20 USD note. I just gave up. stayed in hunger.

대부분의 이슬람 국가 여자들은 신체를 가린다. 전신을 다 가린 사람(‘부르카’ 착용)도 있고

눈만 내놓은 사람(‘니캅’ 착용)도 있고 얼굴만 내놓은 사람(‘차도르’ 착용)도 있고 머리만 내놓은 사람(‘히잡’ 착용)도 있다.

노출된 부위가 어떻든 간에 이들을 볼 때면 답답하다는 생각이 든다. 불쌍하다는 생각도 든다. 무슨 죄가 있어서 저렇게 가리는가?

전에 이란에서 온 아줌마랑 이야기를 했었는데 아줌마 曰 : “이런 옷을 착용하는 것은 정말 불편하다. 하지만 우리는 이렇게 해야만 한다.

그렇게 태어났기 때문이다”라고 했다. 이렇게 이슬람교는 자유를 억압하고 남녀가 불평등하다. 그래서 난 이슬람교가 싫다.

무슬림이 싫은 건 아니다. 이슬람교 자체가 싫다.

most of Muslim women cover their body. some of them cover all body (with Burka),

some of them cover all body except of eye (with Niqab), some of them cover all body except of face (with Chador)

and some of them cover all body except of head (with Hijab). when I see them, I feel heavy or chocked and think them poor.

I talked with one Iran woman before. she said "taking that kind of clothes are very uncomfortable.

but I have to take it since I was born. It is the rule." the Islam prohibit the freedom and the man and the woman are not equal.

that is why I don't like the Islam. I don't hate Muslim but the Islam.

럴수럴수이럴수!!!! 공항에서 Harri와 아무개를 만났다. Harri와 아무개는 뉴델리에서 뭄바이로 가는 기차를 같이 탔던 친구들이다.

이 친구들은 집인 영국으로 돌아가는 중이었는데 이렇게 사우디에서 만날 줄이야!! 세상 참 좁다.

OOOOOMMMMMMGGGGG!!! I met Harry and his friend. we had met in the train from Delhi to Mumbai.

they were heading to England, home. we met in Saudi Aribia!! that is so amazing. the world is so small.

드디어 이집트에 도착! 비자를 받고 공항 밖으로 나오니 자정에 가까운 시각이었다.

택시를 타고 시내로 가려니 돈이 아까워서 그냥 공항에서 자기로 했다.

잘 곳을 찾아 공항 주변을 살폈다. 택시기사 한 명이 다가온다. 싸게 해줄테니까 택시 타란다. 물론 안 탄다고 했다.

포기를 모르는 남자. 계속 타라고 한다. 하지만 나도 포기를 모르는 남자. 계속 안 탄다고 했다.

갑자기 나에게 야동 있냐고 물어본다. 내가 그런 것을 가지고 있을리 있다.-_-ㅋㅋㅋ

너무 절실히 원하는 것 같아서 공항 안에 있는 카페 구석 자리로 가서 야동을 보여주었다.

(여기서 말하는 야동은 야구 동영상이다. 믿거나 말거나.........)

이 남자..............심취했다......

.........30분 정도 쥐죽은듯 영상을 감미했다....

야구 동영상을 보고 나서 기분이 좋아졌는지 택시비가 확 떨어졌다.ㅋㅋㅋ

현지인들이 내는 가격을 불렀다. 하지만 그것마저도 나에게는 부담이었다.

그냥 작별인사를 하고 공항 안에서 잠을 잤다.

I came to Egypt finally!! when I came out from the airport, it was about midnight.

it was too expensive to take a taxi to city center so I decided to stay overnight in airport

when I was looking for a sleep around airport, one taxi guy came to me and asked if I want to take a taxi.

but I didn't need it. he was very sticky. never gave up. but I am same kind of peron. haha.

suddenly, he asked if I have porn videos.

sure, i had....lol

I was eager to see them. so I showed him for 30 mins.

he was so happy to watch them. so he decided to make big discount for taxi.

but still it was expensive.

we said good-bye. then I slept in the airport.

다음날 아침, 수로가 공항으로 뒤늦게 마중을 나왔다. 6개월? 7개월 만에 보는건가? 무지하게 반가웠다.

수로는 세계일주 여행자이다. 한국에서 출발 후, 동남아, 인도, 네팔을 거쳐 남아공부터 아프리카를 종단하고 이집트에 왔다.

(2013년 2월, 현재는 남미에 있다.)

여행을 하면서 그림을 그리는데 그 실력이 놀랍다.

공항을 빠져나오다가 인도 뉴델리에서 같은 숙소에 묵었던 진호를 만났다!

진호가 먼저 이집트로 간다는 것은 알고 있었는데 이렇게 만날 줄이야?????

알고 보니 이집트로 가는 비행기를 놓쳐서 이틀 후에 다른 비행기를 탄 것이었다.

하여간 이런 우연이.........하여간 우리 셋은 같은 숙소에 묵기로 하였다.

아.....그리고 저 위에 화장실 사진은 너무 놀라워서 찍어 놓은 것이다.

이렇게 깨끗한 화장실이 이 세상에 존재할 수 있나???

인도에 두 달 있다가 온 나에게 저 화장실은 신천지, 왕의 화장실이였다.

이때 우리 게스트하우스에 독일인가? 스위스에서 온 친구가 있었는데

그 친구는 이집트가 너무 더럽다고 불평했다. 하지만 나에게는 너무나도 깨끗했다.ㅠㅠㅠ

한 개의 사건을 바라보는 두 개의 시선은 때로는 극명하게 엇갈린다.

my friend, Sooro, came to airport to pick me up next morning.

Sooro is traveling around the world. she started from south-east asia.

then to India, Nepal. crossed all the africa from south africa. then came to Egypt.

she is drawing during the travel. her paintings are just amazing.

what a coincidence!!!! I met Jinho the person whom I met in guesthouse in New Delhi, India.

I had known that he is going to Egypt earlier than me.

but he had missed the flight to Egypt. then came here same day as mine!

we decided to stay in same hostel. =)))

the picture above about toilet, I took that because I was so shocked!!

the toilet was sooooooo clean!

I had been in India for 2 months. so this toilet was mega clean for me. haha.

there was one guy from Germany? or Switzerland in hostel.

the guy was complaining that Egypt is so dirty.

but it was clean for me.lol

햄버거와 음료수가 2,000원 정도?

이집트에 물가는 의외로 엄청 쌌다. 유명한 관광지라서 비쌀 것이라고 생각했는데 막상 가보니 전혀 아니었다.

it was about 2 USD.

the price level in Egypt was so cheap. I had been thinking that Egypt might be expensive because it is famous touristic place.

but not at all. so nice for me!!!

진호, 수로 그리고 게스트하우스에 있던 멕시코 친구와 같이 피라미드, 스핑크스를 보러갔다.

큰 기대를 안고 기자지구에 들어갔는데.......이럴 수가 스핑크스가 너무 작다????

높이가 20m라는데 내 기대치보다 훨씬 작았다.........실망이다.ㅠ

we went to see the Sphinx and Pyramids.

I was having a big expectation!!! but when I entered Giza, place for Sphinx and Pyramids,

so disappointed......because Sphinx was much small then I had thought.

근데 피라미드는 뭔가 다르다. 대박 크다. 나의 기대를 충족시키고도 남았다.

위는 쿠푸왕의 피라미드로 가장 큰 피라미드이다. 기원 전 2,650년 경에 지어졌는데

건설 당시 높이는 147m(현재는 10m 정도 낮아졌음). 이게 말이 되나??? 아주 옛날에 이런 건물을 지었다는 게???

게다가 저기 쓰인 돌들은 작은 벽돌이 아니다......하나에 몇 미터씩 하는 그런 거대한 돌들인데

그걸 운반만 한 게 아니라 쌓기까지 했다니.......그러니 짓는데 20년 걸렸지.......ㅠㅠㅠㅠ....

.....가장 가벼운 돌은 2톤, 가장 무거운 건 무려 50톤이란다.....

아무래도 외계인이 지어준듯........아니면 옵티머스 프라임(트랜스포머 대장)이???

앞으로 주구장창 이야기하겠지만 이집트 문명의 위대함은 상상을 초월한다.

이집트는 정말 꼭 가봐야 하는 여행지인 것 같다......유적지를 좋아하지 않아도 여기 가면 압도 당하여 빠져들게 된다......

but Pyramids was different. it was so big!!!

above is the biggest Pyramid in the world, Khufu's Pyramid. it was built in B.C. 2650.

the initial height was 147m. (now 10m lower) is it true??? how man can build this kind of big thing so long time ago?

and the stones for this are so huge!!!!! smallest one is 2 tons and the biggest one is 50 tons!!!

OOOOOOOMMMMMMGGGGGGG they moved these stones....and piled......it took 20 years!!!!

Egyptian civilization is just amazing!!!!!!!! the best in the world!!!

you should visit even you don't like heritage site. it is more than your expectation.

it is going to dazzle you. then you will fall in love with it.

피라미드를 빠져나오면서 생각해보니.......나는 피라미드 앞에서 사진을 찍지 않았다...........

찍어 주기만 했다.................왜 그랬을까.......왜 그랬을까...................

하여간 이집트에 다시 갈 이유가 생겼다. 피라미드 앞에서 사진 찍기 위해서....-_-

피라미드는 왠지 사막 한가운데 있을 것 같지만 전혀 아니다. 바로 카이로 시내 옆에 있다.

it seems that Pyramids locate in the center of desert. but they are just next to the city center of Cairo.

트랜스포머에서 봤던 것 같은 느낌이다.

기자지구에서 한 시간 반 정도 구경을 하고 다음 피라미드 장소로 이동했다.

카이로 근처에는 여러 피라미드 지역이 있는데 기자지구만 가면 되는듯 하다.

다른 데 있는 피라미드는 허접해서 볼 게 없다.-_-

아..........기자만 볼걸.....괜히 바쁘게 돌아다니느라 하나도 제대로 못 봤다.

피라미드 보러 가실 분들 있으면 기자만 가시길.......

we stayed in Giza for 1 and half hour then moved to another place.

there are few places in Cairo for Pyramid.

I recommand you to go to only Giza.

other places are so bad.....it is not worth to see.

안에 들어가니.....아무 것도 없다. 그냥 돌로 된 방만 있다.

그리고 미이라 썪는 그런 냄새만 난다. 정말 고약했다. 당장 나가고 싶었다.

there was nothing inside of Pyramid. just a room with stone wall.

the smell was so terrible!!!! maybe some mummies were rotten there....lol

이집트를 여행한 후, 이집트하면 가장 먼저 떠오르는 것은 바로 이 딸기쥬스다.

우리나라 돈으로 천 원인데 감히 신의 음료수라고 말하고 싶다. 진짜 대박이다. 죽을 정도로 맛있어서 하루에 2~3개씩 사먹었다.

맛이 워낙 진해서 딸기 100%가 아니라 150%, 200%라는 생각이 드는데.....우리나라에도 이런 거 있었으면....ㅠㅠㅠ

after I had traveled Egypt, this strawberry juice became the symbol of Egypt to me.

this juice must be from the god!!! so nice and so delicious!!!! I had this 2 or 3 everyday in Egypt!!! miss it so much!!

우리가 머물렀던 호스텔은 고양이 판이었다. 얼마나 고양이가 많던지.

the hostel was full of cats!!!!!!!!!!

너무 한식 고파서 한식당에 갔다.

I was missing Korean food so much. so we went to the Korean restaurant.

우리가 먹은 게 뭐더라....우거지 감자탕??? 하여간 뭐 그런 거였는데....

OMG.......이건 완전 고향의 맛이었다. 이집트에서 고향의 맛을 느끼다니....감동의 쓰나미가 몰려왔다.ㅠㅠㅠ

근데 비쌌다.-_-;;

the food was just perfect!!! same taste as Korea!!!!

I was so happy to eat this.....but expensive....:(((

밥을 먹고 약을 사러 약국에 갔는데 거기에 체중계가 있더라?

그래서 몸무게를 쟀는데.........몸무게가 60kg이 안 됐다......

고등학교 때, 몸무게가 60을 돌파한 이후, 60 밑으로 떨어진 적이 없었는데.....이럴 수가.....

굶주리고 계속 아프다 보니.....살이 쪽쪽 빠졌다.ㅠㅠ

(이집트 오고 나서도 몸살에 걸려서 이틀 정도 계속 누워 있었다.ㅠ)

after the meal, we went to pharmacy. there was a scale.

my weight was less than 60kg!!!

OMG.......I had neve been less than 60kg after middle school.

my travel was so poor and had been sick so many times....this is the reason for this.
