e teacher watched in astonishment as a youngster was sweating profusely rubbing a new soap back and forth on cement block. Finally he asked the boy what he was doing.
“If I don’t rub the writing off of the soap,” the camper boy explained, “my mother will know that I didn’t take a bath this week.”
캠핑이 끝나는 날 지도교사는 한 아이가 땀을 뻘뻘 흘리면서 새 비누 하나를 시멘트블록에 문대고 있는 걸 보고 크게 놀랐다. 그래서 뭘 하고 있는 거냐고 물었다.
“이 비누의 글씨가 안 보이게 해야지 그렇지 않으면 한 주 동안 목욕을 하지 않았다는 걸 어머니가 알아버리게 될 거거든요.” 녀석의 설명이었다.
