p { margin: 5px 0px }   인도의 10살짜리 아역 배우 ‘키샨 슈리칸스’가 영화 감독으로 나선다. 영화 24편과 현지에서 히트한 tv 드라마 1000여 회에 출연해 꽤 얼굴이 알려진 배우인 그는, 6살 때 길거리에서 신문을 파는 빈민가 소년들의 삶을 통해 세상의 부조리와 첫 대면한 것을 계기로 ‘길거리’라는 영화를 감독하기로 했다. 대도시의 길거리 소년이 학교에 가고 성공을 거둬 세상의 귀감이 된다는 2시간 길이의 영화로,  시나리오도 한 작가와 공동으로 썼다.    

  "when i was six years old, i saw slum children selling newspapers at a traffic signal and i asked my dad why they are not like us. why they do not go to schools. my dad said they do not have parents. i felt very bad and thought i must do something for them. then i wrote a short story and read it to my dad who narrated it to his friends as well. it was my dad's friends who suggested that i should direct the film myself, as i had written the story."
