Hi everyone

I am in international fan of Kim Seon Ho. My Korean is super basic that I only can type out the alphabet chart but what has transpired in the past week surrounding Kim Seon Ho had me in distressed so much that I felt compel to write this open letter. Never had I felt such a strong desire to write for anyone in my life and create an account in a foreign language to do so.

I did not know Kim Seon Ho until Hometown Cha Cha Cha. He was such an amazing actor. From then I started to follow him on 1 Night 2 Days.
He has a sincerity about his acting and his personality that it has captured our hearts and it pains me to see what is being written about him and I felt the injustice of the accusation.

I felt that people seem to have missed the mark on what a gaslighter is. I have been a victim of gaslighting and can tell you first hand the victim of gaslighting is Kim Seon Ho. She has used certain half truths to paint a picture to the world of what a terrible person Kim Seon Ho is so that his friends, colleagues, fans and the general population to turn away from him and isolate him. Has it worked? It would seem so. What are half truths, they are bits of information that a person might of said over a course of many conversations and then retold out of context to someone else to turn that person against you. You can’t defend yourself because you had mention them and then you feel guilty and start to self question whether you were the bad guy or not. Does this sound like what Kim Seon Ho is going through? He took the blame to himself because he is the victim of being gaslighted. He may have mentioned marriage, but it may not be for her to get an abortion but on a separate occasion. He and her did get an abortion but it may not be about the penalty. The penalty may have been mention if endorsers know about his private life. Those may not have even been in the same conversation or timeframe. He may have talked about his stressful day at work to her in confidence but a gaslighter which should have been private matter between partners but it was used as an ammunition against him just like what a gaslighter would do.

edit: One more thought: people don’t realise they are being gaslighted until they compare notes with others. Gaslighter on the other always paint themselves as the victim.

I don’t know what the general sentiment is in Korea but from the bottom of my heart I hope people can see beyond the smoke.

In my final thought, I hope Kim Seon Ho is safe and healthy. I am truly looking to see you rise again. I believe in your craft and I hope you may obtain the same if not better success in the future. I hope advertisers and directors out there see this and re-employ you again. Your absent is deafening.
