당신을 여름날에 비할 수 있을까.
(Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?)

아니, 당신은 그보다 더 아름답고 우아하지..
(Thou art more lively and more temperate.)

모진 바람은 오월의 꽃봉오리에게 상처를 입히고
(Rough winds do shake darling buds of May,)

작열하는 여름의 한 때는 너무나도 짧다.
(And summer's lease hath all too short a date;)

태양 빛은 때로는 너무나 뜨겁고,
(Sometimes too hot the eyes of heaven shines,)

그리고 때로는 금빛 얼굴을 가리우고.
(And often is his gold complexion dimmed..)

우연 그리고 자연의 변화로 고움도 상하고
아름다운 모든 것도 가시고 말지만
(And every fair from fair sometimes declines
By chance or nature's changing course untrimmed;)

그대가 지닌 영원한 여름은 바래지 않고
(But thy eternal summer shall not fade,)

그대의 영원한 아름다움은 가시지 않는다.
(Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st)

죽음도 그대 앞에 굴복하고 말지니
(Nor death brag thou wand'rest in his shade,)

불멸의 노래 속에 때와 함께 살리라.
(When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st)
