A player in an offside position is only penalised if, at the moments the ball touches or is played by one of his team, he is, in the opinion of the referee, involved in active play by : interfering with play, interfering with an opponent, gaining an advantage by being in that position.

Gaining an advantage by being in that position means playing a ball that rebounds to him off a post or the crossbar having been in an offside position or playing a ball that rebounds to him off an opponent having been in an offside position.

 위치에 있으면서 이득을 얻는다’는 것은 오프사이드 위치에 있었던 선수가 골포스트나 크로스바를 맞고 튀어나온 볼을 플레이 하거나 상대편을 맞고 튀어나온 볼을 플레이하는 것을 의미한다.
