One day I went a bookstore with my friend, KM.

He recommended Paulo Coelho's books, 'Eleven minutes' and 'Veronika decides to die' with the comment that you'll see the world you've not experienced.

I decided to pick 'eleven minutes' because I didn't like negative things (including words ; die ^^ )

As I got to start reading, I heard somethings bad.

Some said  "I never understand the author's thinking."

Some said  "This book is not adapted Korean situations."

Prejudice that is not from my expericne and own thinking restricts the things I can learn more from it. I knew it and went on reading.

The story is about a Brazilan girl. She was curious with sexuality and adventure. So she made up her mind to go Europe alone. She became prostitution and met many people. She were eager to search something meaningful and experienced a lot.

I'd like to quote the paragraph mostly impressing.

Once upon a time, there was a bird. He was adorned with two perfect wings and with glossy, colorful feathers.

One day, a woman saw this bird and fell in love with him. She watched his flight.  She invited the bird to fly with her, and the two travelled across the sky in perfect harmony.

But she thought : He might want to bisit far off mountains! And she was afraid, afraid that she would never feel the same way about any other bird. And she felt envy, envy for the bird's ability to fly.

And she thought : "I'm going to set a trap. The next time the bird appeas, he will never leave again."

The bird, who was also in love, returned the following day, fell into the trap and was put in a cage.

She looked at the bird every day. But she began to lose interest. The bird, unable to fly and express the true meaing of his life, began to waste away and his feathers to lose their gloss;he grew agly; and the woman no longer paid him nay attention.

One day, the bird died. The woman felt terribly sad and spent all her time thinking about him.

How many people put their lovers into a cage and miss herand regret after loosing them !

People can possess nobody, I think. Forcing and pushing are never ways to love sincerely.
When you love someone very much, then let her be.

Express your interest and feel and sympathize with her.
Don't be rational.

Be emotional, If you love mostly.
