All were doing the same job, but when each was asked what the job was, the answers varied.
모두 같은 일을 하고 있었지만 어떤 일을 하고 있냐는 질문에는 모두 다르게 대답했다.
 
''Breaking rocks,'' the first replied. ''Earning my living,'' the second said.
한 명은 바위를 부수고 있다고 대답했고 두 번째 사람은 생계를 위해 돈을 버는 중이라 했다.

''Helping to build a cathedral,'' said the third. 
 마지막 사람은 이렇게 말했다. “대성당을 짓고 있어요.”
