1948년 생으로 1970년 데뷔한 오지 오스본은 그룹 Black Sabbath에 몸담았었으나 약물복용으로 퇴출(???)당하게 되고 자신의 밴드를 구성한다. 비행기 사고로 요절한 기타리스트 Randy Rhoads와 함께 한 오지 오스본 1집은 Crazy Train, Mr. Crowley, Goodbye To Romance 등 명곡을 남겼다. 미국 로큰롤 명예의 전당과 영국 음악 명예의 전당에 헌액됐으며, 그래미상도 두 차례나 수상했다.
