"Big Mistake" is Natalie Imbruglia's second single from the her debut album Left of the Middle. It was released on 8 March 1998. The music video was filmed in Barcelona and directed by Alison Maclean. The video shows a male suitor with a bouquet of flowers chasing after Imbruglia through the city. Many obstacles prevent him from reaching her though, and at the end of the video she ultimately gets away from him in a red pickup truck. It is not clear in the video whether she even realizes that he is pursuing her or not. It reached number two in the UK and number six in Australia. The single was released with the b-sides:
