An lnterview with New Students

 

My name is Sora, and I'm a second year student reporter who works

 

for the school TV station.It is the first semester of high school.There

 

are many new faces.Today, I'll in terview three new students to learn

 

more about theirnew high school lives.

 

Sora:Congratulations on starting high school,everyone! Why don't

 

　　  you introduce yourselves?

 

Minho:My name  is Minho.This is the fitst interview in my life. So I'm

 

　　　nervous, but very glad to be here.

 

Sujin:I'm Sujin. I'm very happy to be a student at school.

 

Andy:Hi, my name is Andy. I'm really happy to meet new friends.

 

Sora:What do you think about your high school life?

 

Minho:I already feel  that high school is different from middle school.

 

　　   There are more clsses and more assignments. I also feel much

 

        more responsible for myself.

 

Andy:It's more difficult to make new friends in high school. I think that

 

　　  it'll take some time to become friends with my classmates.

 

Sujin:My teachers and parents treat me like a more independent person.

 

　　  I think that I should take care of myself and trust myself more.

 

Sora:What is your plan for the new school year?

 

 Andy:The most important plan for me is traveling I can learn more about

 

　　　the history and culture of my town.

 

Minho:First of all, I want to study hard. Getting good grades is really

 

　　　 important to me. I also want to join a few cluds. This year, I'd

 

　　　 like to join a volunteer club to help others.

 

Sujin:I'd like to improve my computer skills. Because I'm not good

 

　　  with computers, it usually takes a long time for me to finish my school projects.

 

Sora:Tell me about your dreams for the future. What are you doing to

 

　　  make your dreams come true?

 

MInho:I'm palnning to be a doctor. Once I become a doctor, I hope tp

 

　　　 help sick people in Korea and other  countries. I'm going to work

 

　　　 hard at school to achieve my dream.

 

Andy:I want to be a news repoter like you. I'd like to be the first person

 

　　  to report the news when a big event happens. I'm reading many

 

　　  books, newspapers, and magazines to make my dream come true.

 

Sujin:I'd like to become a writer. When I was nine, I read The LIttle Prince.

　　　

　　  That book showed me a new view of the world. I hope I

 

　　  can do the same thing for children. To achieve this dream, I'll

 

　　  improve my creativity and study a lot about writing.

 

Sora:Do you have any special things that you want to try in high school?

 

Andy:I want to make a lot of Korean friends this year. I also want to

 

　　  learn more about Korea and Korean culture.

 

Minho:I wish I could change roles with my teacher for a day. Then, both

 

　　   of us could understand each other better. It would be an

 

　　   interesting experience.

 

Sujin:I want to wite some short stories for children. I also want to

 

　　  have thme published some day so that shildren can enjoy my stories.
