I admire Ahn Joong-Geun who is a Korean independent activist. He struggled for independence during the Japanese colonial period. Nothing could stop him from trying to fight for independence. In 1909, he assassinated Itō Hirobumi who is a top Japanese official and he was arrested on the spot. He went on trial by the Japanese. His action was open and aboveboard. Finally, he gave his life for his country’s independence. His great courage and determination is outstanding. If it had not been for him, the Korea of today did not exist. I am always proud of him.
