Title : The King Snake

  The coral snake lived in a wildness, and the king snake lived there too. The coral snake had very strong poison. Therefore, all of the animals knew that they would die when they got bitten by the coral snake. And so all of the animals were afraid of him. When he passed by they ran away from him.

  However, the king snake didn't have any poison, and he always worried about being attacked by the other animals. But he looked like the coral snake. Therefore, all of the animals mistook him for the coral snake. He completely looked like the coral snake on first sight.

  One day, while the king snake was going to town, he was afraid. He was walking to the town, and yet all of the animals avoided him. He didn't understand why they had avoided him, but still he walked to the town. When he arrived in town, all of the animals avoided him again. He thought he was stained with muck and manure. During the day, he didn't meet anybody.

  He had heard that he looked the coral snake. At that time, he was in high spirit. He didn't worry. Instead, he shook himself rhythmically. Also, he began to harass the weaker animals. Ofcourse, the other animals didn't oppese him. However, he didn't know the real reason the animals were avoiding him.

  One day, he wanted to take his power to frighten to another town, and then he traveled to another town. Because his pride had grown, he wanted to see if the animals in another town would run from him, too. When he was walking on the street, a fox appeared in front of him. But he thought the fox would run away, and so he took an attack posture. However, the fox was not surprised at all. The fox thought is laughable. The king snake was very angry, and he attacked the fox. And then the fox gave the king snake a hard time. At that time, the king snake ran away to his hime.

  The fox lived in another town, and he didn't know about the coral snake. The fox thought the king snake was a common snake. Therefore, the king snake was convinced of his error and stayed in the safe place with coral snake.

Morals : Taking pride in yourself from the qualities of others will eventually hurt you. Don't assume the power you have in your native land is universal.
