Matt: How’s Elena doing? (엘레나 어떻게 지내?)

Bonnie: her mom and dad died . how do you think? ( 부모님이 돌아가셨어 어떨 것 같니?)

she’s putting on a good face, But it’s only been four months. (표정은 밝게 하지만 4개월 밖에 안됐어)

Matt: Has she said anything about me? (내 얘긴 안해?)

Bonnie: Oh, no . So not getting in the middle. You pick up the phone and call her  (응, 난 중간에

끼기 싫어. 네가 전화기 들고 직접 전화해봐))

Matt: I feel weird calling her . She broke up with me (전화하기 좀 그래. 엘레나가 헤어지자고 했으니)

Bonnie: Give it more time. Matt ( 시간을 좀 더 줘봐)

Matt: More time, huh? (시간을 더 주라고?)

 

 

Matt: Hey, I’m Matt, nice to meet you (난 맷이야, 만나서 반갑다)

Stefan: Hi, Stefan

 

 

 

Caroline: So, you were born in mystic falls? (그럼 너 미스틱 폴스에서 태어난거지?)

Stefan: Mm-hmm. and moved when I was still young  (아니, 어릴 때 이사왔어)

Bonnie: Parents? (부모님은?)

Stefan: My parents passed away. ( 돌아가셨어)

Elena: I’m sorry, Any siblings? (안됐다, 형제는?)

Stefan: None that I talk to. (연락하지 않지) I live with my uncle (삼촌하고 같이 살아)

Caroline: So, Stefan, If you’re new then you don’t know about the party tomorrow. (스테판, 온지

 얼마 안됐으면 내일 열리는 파티 모르겠구나)

Bonnie: It’s a back to school thing at the falls. (미스틱 폴스 개학 축제 같은 거야)

Stefan: Are you going? (너도 가니?)

Bonnie: Of course she is ( 물론이지)

 

Zach: You promised (약속했잖아)

Stefan: This was an animal attack (동물의 습격이었어)

Zach: Don’t give me that. I know the game (그러지마, 네 속셈을 알고 있어)You tear them up enough, they always suspect an animal attack  (시체를 갈기갈기 찢어놔서 동물의 습격으로 위장하지)You said

Zach: Plz, uncle Stefan , Mistic falls is a different place now ( 삼촌, 미스틱 폴스는 이제 달라졌어)

It’s been quiet for years, but there are people who still remember (몇 년간 잠잠했지만 아직

기억하는 사람이 있다구) and you being here  it’s just going to stir thing up(당신이 거기 있으면

Stefan: It’s not my intention (내 의도가 아녔어)

Zach: Then what is? (그럼 뭐야?) Why did you come back? After all this time. Why now? (왜 이제사 돌아온거야? 꼭 지금 말이야?)

Stefan: I don’t have to explain myself ( 설명할 필요도 없어)

Zach: I know that you can’t change what you are.( 당신 존재를 바꿀 수 없다는 거 알아. ) But you

don’t belong here anymore (하지만 당신은 여기 속하지 않아)

Stefan: Where do I belong ( 그럼 어디 속하는데?)

Zach: I can’t tell you what to do ( 뭘 하라고 지시할 자격은 없어)But coming back here was a mistake. (하지만 여기 돌아오는 건 실수였어)

 

Teacher: The battle of willow creek took place right at the end of the war in our very own mystic

falls (윌로우 크릭 전쟁은 바로 이곳 미스틱 폴스에서 발발했지)How many casualties resulted in this

battle? ( 이 전쟁에서 사망한 사상자가 몇인줄 아는 사람?) Ms. Bennett? (베넷 양?)

Bonnie: Um, , a lot? I’m not sure (음..꽤 많은 숫자요. 잘 모르겠어요)Like a whole lot. (정말 많이

Teacher: Cut becomes dump in an instant, Ms. Bennett (순식간에 귀여움이 무식함으로 돌변하는군)

historical events? (흠,, 엘레나? 물론 자네라면 우리 마을의 역사적인 사건을 가르쳐줄 수 있겠지?))

Elena: I’m sorry, I don’t know (죄송하지만 ..모르겠어요)

Teacher: I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena(지난 해엔 눈감아줬어.

네 개인적인 이유 때문에)  but the personal excuses ended with summer break (하지만 개인적인

핑계는 여름방학 이후로 끝났어)

Stefan: There were 346 casualties, unless you’re counting local civilians(희생자는 346명 이었어요.

지역 주민들을 빼고 말이죠)

Teacher: That’s correct (정답이네) Salvatore. Any relation to the original settlers here at mystic falls?  (살바토어군 . 혹시 미스틱 폴스에 최초로 정착한 집안인가?)

Stefan: Distant (아뇨)

Teacher: Well, very good (a 좋은 답변 이었어)Except, of course there were no civilian casualties

in this battle (하지만 이 전쟁에선 주민들이 희생되지 않았네)

Stefan: Actually, there were 27, sir. Confederate soldiers, they fired on the church (사실은 27명이

Bonnie: Right, I forgot. Ok, so give me a sec. Grams says I have to concentrate.( 맞다, 까먹었어.

잠시만, 할머닌 내가 집중을 해야 된대)

Elena: Wait you need a crystal ball.( 잠깐, 너 크리스탈 공 필요한 고 아냐?) Ta-da(짜잔)

Bonnie: That was weird. (이상했어)When I touched you. I saw a crow. There was fog, a man,

,(네 손이 닿을 때 까마귀를 봤어. 안개하고..어떤 남자) I’m drunk, it’s the drinking. There’s nothing

psychic about it. Yeah?( 난 취했어, 술 때문이야. 전혀 심령과 거리가 멀지) Ok, I’m gonna get a refill. (리필 좀 해와야겠다)
