My father, an announcer for television commercials, works in

Seattle, and it`s always a treat to hear his voice when I visit

other parts of the country. My job once took me to Pennsylvania.

I was at a pub with friends when an ad for athletic equipment

came on the lounge TV. As a shapely blonde dressed in a leotard

worked out on an exercise device, a very familiar voice delivered

the sale pitch. Without thinking, I said,

" Hey, you guys, that's my Dad! "

My friends turned to look at me. " Geoff ! "

They replied in unison.

"He`s beautiful. "

텔레비전 광고 방송 아나운서인 내 아버지는 시애틀에서 일하신다. 내가 다른 지역을 방문했을때 아버지 목소리를 듣는 것은 항상 하나의 큰 기쁨이다. 한번은 일 때문에 펜실베니아에 간 적이 있었다. 로비에 있는 텔레비전에서 운동기구 광고가 방송될때, 나는 친구와 술집에 있었다.

리오타드를 착용한 몸매가 근사한 금발여자가 운동을 하고 있고, 아주 익숙한 목소리가 광고에서 나오고 있었다. 생각없이 난

" 헤이, 친구들, 저분이 내 아버지야. "

내 친구들은 날 다시보았다. " 저런! "

그들은 일제히 대답했다.

" 아버님이 참 아름다우시군. "
