학교 과제로 영문법을 초딩때 가르쳐야 하는가를 영어로 써오라는데.. 이거 한글로 쓰기도 힘든데 영어로 쓰기는 더힘드네요
평소에 쓰지도 않던 영어 쥐어 짜내서 겨우겨우 써봤는데 틀린 부분이 너무 많아 보입니다. 그런데 어디가 틀렸는지는 잘모르겠어요 ㅠㅠ
문법 틀린부분 지적해주시거나 아니면 좀더 세련되게 의미를 표현할 수 있는 부분이 있다면 많은 지도편달 부탁드려요 꾸벅

I think we have to teach grammar in elementary school in some degree.
The objective of korean english education is to improve abilities of communication.
Abilities of communication consist of not only speaking and listening but also writing and reading.
Only for abilities of speaking and listening, it is enough to listen to tape which records voice of native speakers and to speak english.
Needless to say, learning english grammar is helpful to improve abilities of speaking and listening but it is not necessary.
It is very common situation in America that many American can't read and write but they can talk english fluently.
But it is little different in case we have to read or write something.
If we learn a grammar, we can make a sentence which is polished and clear.
When we read a text, we can understand meaning of sentence no matter how long it is.
Therefore we need to teach grammar for improving abilities of reading and writing; two of communication ability.
Also grammar can improve our accuracy of e-pression as well as abilities of reading and writing.
However it is not desirable that learning grammar becomes objective of english education.
We must use grammar as a method of improving communication ability.
In korean english education, people stress on conversation in elementary school and emphasis on grammar in middle and high school.
It is not desirable situation.
Only balanced education of grammar and conversation from elementary school to high school can make good communication ability.
So basic grammar education is necessary to elementary students.
But we have to be careful in teaching grammar because student may feel boring in studying grammar knowledge.
It is possible that unwillingness of student about english lead to a hostile attitude.
Then how can we teach grammar in elementary school?
It is enough to teach structures of sentence, interrogative sentence, negative sentence, pronoun and plural-singular in elementary school.
And we have to teach it not directly but naturally by well-planed activities for instance grammar game.

어느 정도의 영문법은 초등학교에서 가르쳐야한다고 생각한다. 우리나라 공교육 영어의 목표는 실생활에서의 의사소통 능력을 기르는 것이다. 의사소통능력은 듣고 말하는 능력뿐만 아니라 읽고 쓰는 능력을 포함하고 있다. 단지 실생활에서 듣고 말하는 능력을 기르기 위한 것이라면 원어민이 녹음한 테이프를 반복해서 듣고 그것을 말해보는 활동만으로도 충분하다. 이는 미국의 상황만 보아도 알 수 있다. 미국의 많은 사람들이 글을 읽거나 쓸 수는 없지만 능숙하게 영어로 의사소통한다. 하지만 글을 읽고 써야하는 상황은 조금 다르다. 영문법을 배운다면 좀더 세련되고 의미를 명확하게 전달하는 문장을 쓸 수 있다. 그리고 글을 읽을 때도 아무리 길고 복잡한 문장도 명확하게 이해할 수 있게 된다. 그러므로 의사소통 능력중 하나인 읽고 쓰는 능력을 길러주기 위해서는 초등학교에서부터 영문법을 일정 수준 가르쳐 줄 필요가 있다. 물론 너무 깊게 가르쳐서 영어문법 자체가 목적이 되어서는 안 되고 의사소통 능력을 기르기 위한 수단으로 활용해야 한다. 우리나라의 영어교육을 보면 초등학교 시절에는 회화위주로 수업이 진행이 되다가 점차 중고등학교로 갈수록 문법이 강조되고 회화교육이 소외된다. 이는 바람직하지 못한 일이다. 초등학교부터 문법교육과 회화교육이 균형 있게 이루어져야만 듣기와 말하기, 읽기와 쓰기로 구성된 의사소통 능력이 제대로 발전할 수 있다. 그러므로 초등학교에서도 기본적인 문법 교육은 꼭 필요하다. 단 주의할 점은 영문법의 특서상 실생활과의 거리가 멀고 지식위주로 가르쳐지는 경향이 있기 때문에 학생이 영어에 대해 흥미를 잃지 않도록 해야 한다. 초등학교 시기에 영어를 어렵게 생각하고 거부감을 갖는다면 이는 성인이 되어서까지 이어질 가능성이 높다. 그러므로 교사는 영문법을 가르칠 때 항상 이를 염두에 두어야한다. 그렇다면 영어문법은 어느 정도 범위에서 어떻게 가르쳐야 할까. 초등학교 수준의 영문법은 너무 어려운 내용이 아니라 의문문이나 부정문의 문장 구조와 어순, 인칭대명사, 단수와 복수 정도의 수준이면 된다. 그리고 이를 직접적으로 가르치지 않고 잘짜여진 활동위주로 문법게임을 진행하면서 학생이 문법을 자연스럽게 습득할 수 있도록 유도해야한다.
