28. 너희 중에 누가 망대를 세우고자 할진대 자기의 가진 것이 준공하기까지에 족할는지 먼저 앉아 그 비용을 예산하지 아니하겠느냐 
29. 그렇게 아니하여 그 기초만 쌓고 능히 이루지 못하면 보는 자가 다 비웃어 
30. 가로되 이 사람이 역사를 시작하고 능히 이루지 못하였다 하리라  (눅14:28~30)

1. 하나님의 아들 예수 그리스도 복음의 시작이라  (막1장)

1. 예수 그리스도의 계시라 이는 하나님이 그에게 주사 반드시 속히 될 일을 그 종들에게 보이시려고 그 천사를 그 종 요한에게 보내어 지시하신 것이라
1. The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,  (계1장)
 

 
8. 주 하나님이 가라사대 나는 알파와 오메가라 이제도 있고 전에도 있었고 장차 올 자요 전능한 자라 하시더라   (계1장)
8. "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." 

 
17. 내가 볼 때에 그 발 앞에 엎드러져 죽은 자같이 되매 그가 오른손을 내게 얹고 가라사대 두려워 말라 나는 처음이요 나중이니  (계1장)
17. When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. 

8. 서머나 교회의 사자에게 편지하기를 처음이요 나중이요 죽었다가 살아나신 이가 가라사대 
8. "To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again.

1. 또 내가 새 하늘과 새 땅을 보니 처음 하늘과 처음 땅이 없어졌고 바다도 다시 있지 않더라 
1. Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.  (계21장)

5. 보좌에 앉으신 이가 가라사대 보라 내가 만물을 새롭게 하노라 하시고 또 가라사대 이 말은 신실하고 참되니 기록하라 하시고 
6. 또 내게 말씀하시되 이루었도다 나는 알파와 오메가요 처음과 나중이라 내가 생명수 샘물로 목마른 자에게 값 없이 주리니 
5. He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." 
6. He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.

10. 또 내게 말하되 이 책의 예언의 말씀을 인봉하지 말라 때가 가까우니라 
11. 불의를 하는 자는 그대로 불의를 하고 더러운 자는 그대로 더럽고 의로운 자는 그대로 의를 행하고 거룩한 자는 그대로 거룩되게 하라 
12. 보라 내가 속히 오리니 내가 줄 상이 내게 있어 각 사람에게 그의 일한대로 갚아 주리라 
13. 나는 알파와 오메가요 처음과 나중이요 시작과 끝이라 
10. Then he told me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, because the time is near. 
11. Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy." 
12. "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. 
13. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
