이곡은 U2가 존 레논이 만든 노래에서 제목을 빌어, 아일랜드의
‘피의 일요일’사건을 노래한 Sunday bloody sunday을
1983년 3번째 앨범인 "War"에 발표한 것입니다..
U2는1977년에 아일랜드의 더블린에서 고등학교 친구인 Bono,
The Edge, Adam Clayton, Larry Mullen의 멤버로 Feedback이란
이름으로 시작하여 78년에 지금의 이름으로 바꾼 그룹으로
80년에 데뷔 앨범 Boy 를 발표했지만 그리 성공을 거두지는 못했고
81년 October 부터 인기를 얻어 83년 War 를 히트시키며 최고의
밴드로 자리잡기 시작했다.
