하늘이 울고 웃었다.

과오는 한 사람만의 몫이 아니었다.

그러나 우리 중 누구 하나도

쉽게 용기내어 결정하지 못했다.

잘못된 결정이고, 그것이 무엇을 의미하는지 알기에..

 

시간은 정해진 운명대로 흘러간다고 믿는다.

하지만 그 운명의 라인에도

선택의 시점이란 존재하기 나름이다.

그 선택의 시간을 그냥 흘려 보내고 나면,

삶은 그 의미를 잃고 피폐해져버린다.

또는 앞으로의 모습을 상상할 수 없게 한다.

 

참 오랜 시간이 흘렀음에도,

바뀐 것이 없는 내 자신에게 실증을 느낀다.
