Monday Morning 5:19
At eight o'clock we said goodbye
That's when I left her house for mine
She said that she'd be staying in
Well she had to be at work by nine
8시에 우리는 헤어졌어요
그게 제가 그녀 집을 나와 제 집으로 간 시각이죠
그녀는 집에 있을거라고 했어요
9시까지 일하러 가야했거든요
So I get home and have a bath
And let an hour or two pass drifting in front of my TV
When a film comes on that she wants to see
집에 와서 목욕을 했어요
TV 앞에서 빈둥거리며 한두 시간을 보냈어요
그런데 그때 그녀가 보고 싶어하는 영화가 나왔어요

And I'm still wondering where she's been
'Cause every time I try to call I just get her machine
지금은 월요일 아침 5시 19분이에요
그리고 전 아직도 그녀가 어디에 있는지 모르겠어요
그녀에게 전화를 걸 때마다 자동응답기만 대답하기 때문이에요
And now it's almost six A.M.
And I don't want to try again
'Cause if she's still not back
then this must be the end
지금은 거의 아침 6시에요
이젠 다시 전화를 걸고 싶지 않아요
만약 지금까지 그녀가 돌아오지 않았다면 우
리사이는 끝일테니까요
At first I guess she's gone to get herself a pack of cigarettes
A pint of milk, food for the cat
But it's midnight now and she's still not back
처음에는 그녀가 담배를 사러 나갔는 줄 알았어요
아님 고양이를 줄 우유나 음식을 사러 갔을거라 했죠
하지만 이제 자정이고 그녀는 아직 안돌아왔어요
