I'm walking in the depth of the night,

No light or love both out of my sight.

I do not know how long it has been,

But I know you though I haven't seen.

I'm searching my way through the desert.

There's nothing to feel but lifeless dirt.

Blistered feet under the sun,

Frozen at night unable to run.

I fall as I seek deep into sand,

Endeavering again to take my stand.

Too long was the journey it's time to end,

But to tall the mountain for me to descend.

So I go on to see those eyes,

Milder than the beautiful skies.

To feel your body not hot nor cold.

Small but warm, perfect to hold.

If you grow tired once the sun is down,

Too dark to see or to go around.

If you can't handle the endless journey,

I'll carry you girl, just leave it to me.

Don't worry baby I'll be just fine.

Carrying you, the benefit is mine.

My back will feel the beats of your heart,

Giving me life, I'll once again start.

The warmth of your body will help me survive,

To battle the cold till the sun will arrive.

Light as a feather to my arms you will be.

You're not a burden but a blessing to me.

Yet you and I are still unknown,

Me to you and you to me.

But don't give up I'll make it to you.

Till we meet the days are a few.

We'll walk together one day you'll see,

And be together for eternity.
